I have 19 chickens in a nice coop. One is 14 months old, and laying. One is less than a year, unsure of exact age, and not laying, and 15 are about 2 1/2 months old. They all get along and no feathers are flying.

I have given them a natural wormer. There has been no evidence of worms. They are all happy, healthy, eating, drinking, and pooping normally. Going forward, what should I use for prevention?

What does everyone think about 4 in 1 powder for birds? Or Valbazen? I don’t want to overthink this. Living in the Deep South, it gets very hot snd humid. I want to keep them healthy. Thanks!

I think you should get a fecal float test first. The test will tell if there’s an issue and then you’ll know what to actually treat for if there’s a need. Our vet doesn’t treat fowl but they will at least and the fecal samples for testing. Treating for worms just because is like giving your kid or yourself an antibiotic when you’re not sick.
