Riding my horse

Welcome to my question thread! Here is how it works:
Someone asks a question, then someone answers it. You cannot ask another question until the one before it is answered.
I'll start:
Does anyone here like horses?

I know they are great!!

I own three and adding!
They say (an it's true) once you get one, you can only get more.
I compete with mine in lots of different disiplines!

If only I could convince someone to get me a horse! It would be really cool to own one but I know they take tons of responsibility! And money and food and... and... the list goes on.

I take horseback riding lessons and I can totally feel that freedom! Even though I'm being told what gait to do and everything.
On average what does it cost per month to own a horse?

Hmmm. . .
Your tack alone would cost $6,000 Canadian at least but would last a long time.
Hay for 1 horse for a month would be about $150 Canadian. I don't know American dollars though.
Then there's vet bills.
And every six weeks they need a farrier if you have shoes which is about $100 dollars each time.
