hello chicken people , did you here the old wives tale about if you lay a 1 day old baby chick in your hand on its back . if it layes still it is a pullet and if it moves its legs it is a rooster . god bless wv leipers who knows until you try it .

i never heard of that one but it sounds interesting... have you tried it?

yes i did try it probably 40 years ago and i donot remember what happened ,i think it proved to be true , but don.t remember how many i checked , will try again when new hatchlings arive . peace to all wv leipers
