Help! A bird just flew into my window, what do I do?

( I mean whilst it was closed )

It's breathing and walking, but not flying.

Sadly, I know nothing about "wild birds" so I can't be much help........

How is the bird now? Try and keep it calm, inspect it if it'll let you near it. S/he might just be in shock from runningintothe house. watch it for a while and see if it can try to fly. If after a while it still can't fly, something might be broken or sprained.

Oh he was a present of a friend, they didn't want him and him and a few others and we did. But she wasn't sure what breed they were, unfortunately.
