Chickens Afraid of the Dark

I need help I have two 9 week olds and I got them from a breeder wjo always had a light on. And I put them out in the new home with a coop and run. And at night tjey sleep outside in one corner and that is it.Bit I think they are scared of the dark bbecause tje corner where they sleep is by my neighbors flood. Light. What does this mean

You can turn the light off and let them get over it. I've yet to read of a chicken dying from fear of the dark.

Maybe not, but chickens can die of shock- we are still talking about a living breathing being, constructive replies would be better.
