Chickens and beer?

I've often wished I could feed snails to my chickens, but have been concerned about possibility of them carrying parasites. Once I boiled a pot but that stunk up the kitchen. I wonder if the snails soaking in your beer traps would kill parasites they might potentially be harboring?

(Mine won't eat slugs at all... maybe the super tiny ones, but bigger than that, they're just too slimy for them).

Mine are on them like white on rice! If I go in with a handful of a dozen fat slugs they last about 20 seconds. And I only have 3 hens.

If I just have one or two I just hold my hand up to the wire hardware cloth and the pecking is ferocious!

I wouldn't think the beer would be a problem for the chickens, but if you have concerns, you could try non-alcoholic beer. I imagine that would still work for attracting/killing the slugs?

Wow, I FINALLY found a (potential) use for non-alcoholic beer! :celebrate
