Chickens and Cats

    Here is one of our 4 month old Silver Penciled Rock roosters. We also have 4 new baby kittens that think they are mountain lions. The roosters keep them in their place!

    Pretty Roo [​IMG] When I started letting my chickens out in their run my barn cats that catch sparrows all the time thought about it - until my RIR Roo ran at cats. Letting chickens out hasn't been a problem as my cats are not interested in these new birds that eat cats and must be related to the archaeopteryx dinosaurs [​IMG]

    You shouldve seen the terrified cat that got stuck in my run. Wide eye terrified and hasnt been close since. Lmao it was great. The best part was the kids ran to the house to get me cause the chickens were gonna eat jade. Hahaha

    I have noticed that cats and chickens actually get along really well. For some strange reason, cats don't see them as birds.
