sometimes I bring leftover cornbread home to my chickens...they love it. Is it good for them? What is actually the best thing to feed chickens? I give mine alot of table scraps, laying pellets and chops.
That basically the same diet mine get, except I'm not feeding them scratch yet. My SO insists that's best fed only in the colder months. I give them fresh corn instead, but not alot. They get all the leftover cornbread. Their current favorite is the figs. They will hurt you for your last fig, believe me.
Lol. I keep mine in a playpen in the house till they get 8weeks old. Then they have a coop in the garage. But mine will eat cornbread like they have never been giving any food. They will jump on their purchase, then to the side of the playing and beg for the cornbread.
