Chickens and Dogs

I am taking care of a friends chickens while he is out of town, and i was wondering if chickens will stop laying eggs or only lay 1 aday if dogs are barking around them all the time.?Please help.

If they are used to the sound of dogs barking, they should be fine. If the barking has only recently begun, then, yes, egg production may decrease, although no matter what each hen can only lay one egg every 24 hours, and that is for the best layers (I have some hens that go two weeks without laying an egg, lay an egg a day for three days in a row, and then stop for another few weeks).
