We are moving to a new house this week and in picking out our chicken area we have options. But there is an area where the previous owner had two large dog runs, and so the area is now bare dirt, with lots of dog poo. I originally said no way no how, but then thought, maybe that's the ideal location and they can clean it for me? I'm still icked by the idea, but it would solve an issue of what to do with that otherwise unusable area.

Thanks!

eww - no - dig a deep hole & bury the dog poo & cover it or put in a plastic trash bag & throw it away.
Our chickens do nothing to the dog's droppings, they ignore it.
Start "fresh". Good luck.

My dogs eat chicken poop, but the chickens don't eat dog poop. Goat and horse poop, yes. Dog or cat poop, no. You're just going to have to rake the area, you can still put the birds there after you clean it up.

Thank you for the feed back!! Bummer deal as its a 20x10 foot area. Ah well. We will be tilling the garden area so will till there too

Thanks again!
