Chickens and ducks together. Ok or no way?

Everyone I know with ducks love their ducks. And they’re so friendly and personable. I don’t know if I would get a male duck I would be afraid. I have the most gentle rooster around but being that he’s a game rooster he does not tolerate other men around his ladies. Don’t know why he so greedy he’s got 18 of them!

Honestly my male duck is nicervthan my females. They dont care for new additions but my drake keeps them in line and watches over new babies. Hes the weirdest creature.. I cant wait for my 2 new muscovies to join them. Along with a rescued mystery duckling and 3 hens.

That’s how my rooster is with my chickens. Gentle respectful of me and the hens. It wouldn’t be a male duck I wouldn’t worry about it would be my rooster. When we had a second rooster he was having no part of that. That rooster was kind of a butt to everybody though so he was rehomed. He’s happy with his new flock. I think it’s the breed of rooster he is.

Could be. This is also why i like to introduce mine when they're young. They already know who top dog is that way and theres no fight. I had a male khaki campbell (he passed) and my boys got along great. My khaki just wasnt allowed to mate the girls lol.
