chickens and ducks

Even if your chicken did get it... they float... but they will also get chilled if it isn't hella hot. Don't ask how I know. I was stupid and left the screen off the rain barrel... that is all I will say. lol *the chicken was not hurt*

yeah they will be fine. I have a pond, a baby pool, and a tub... and free ranging chickens and ducks. The chickens only got in the tub ONCE and it was really hot... I think they wanted to be in it. It only came up to the bottom of their wings... bet it felt good.

Sounds like you got things under control... enjoy them!!

Try working there! That's my problem. My whole shift today I was thinking "Don't you dare buy the blue swedish". lol. I was sending out my thoughts to everyone who stopped and looked at them. LOL!!!!

I have three ducks currently... I had 14 and that was too many back then. I have more knowledge and space now. Plus I'm getting Calls so they are smaller. These will be pets. The calls will be for showing and breeding.

I have TONS of chickens too... and looking into pheasants and/or turkeys. I just love birds. lol. Well, animals in general but especially birds.

Well, we had tons of chicks last year... too many, to be honest, in one bin at a time... this year there is just a few shipments at a time... they sell out and we got some more... it's much better for the chicks. We had red pullets (a mix of 4 diff. reds) and they sold out. We had st. run speckled Sussex and they sold out. St. run broiler sold out. Then now (as of yesterday) we had st. run ducks (mostly swedish) and black pullets.... a mix up of black breeds... but all pullets.

I walked away from the chicks, but couldn't the ducks. Blue Swedish was always that breed I wanted a few of but never wanted to order a whole order worth. Ya know?

yeah i know what you mean,and thats amazing,ours dont have much...im going tomarrow instead of saturday...i couldnt wait no longer,lol.Im going chicken crazy!
