Chickens and feeder mice?

I work at a bird rehab center and we end up with a lot of mouse scraps (stuff we drop on accident)

It sucks seeing a lot of perfectly good reptile grade feeder mice that were just dropped on the floor wasted. Would it be a bad idea to give one to my chickens as a treat? I am mostly worried about illness from the mice

Almost all chickens will eat mice, whether they catch them or the cat leaves them in the yard.

Those exposed to possible other types of bird illnesses I wouldn't risk it.
