Hmmmmmm. The feed store near us told me that grit wasn't necessary as long as they had oyster shells. Thanks for clarifying. Usually our chickens are free range, although we just put them into a new coop, so we're keeping them in for 2 weeks until they know where to go at night. I'm going to get them some grit.
There's also a new all-purpose chicken food out that is complete for all starter chicks, pullets, cockerels, as well as adult chickens. Does anyone use this? I don't have the package anymore--does it contain grit?
