Chickens and peacock together?

Hi, Now this is all theory. I don't own a peacock and I haven't done any research yet into them. I just wanted to know can you put peacocks and chickens together? I have chickens, and if I did one day have a peacock they would all live together in the garden. Good idea?

Any good links for info on peacocks?

First, why don't you take a look at the stickies at the top of the peafowl forum, which have a lot of great basic info about peas:

Also, if you do a search on the forum you will find that many threads already discuss keeping chickens and peas together (generally not recommended).

excellent! many thanks for this information! I have read that peafowl are especially noisy? What's your experience on this?

Yes, they are definitely noisy. I think all pea owners get to love their noises, though (I certainly do).
However, if you have nearby neighbors, they may not love the noise as much as you do.
So you will probably want to talk to your neighbors before you make a decision about getting peas.

If they are noisy I will leave it. My neighbours and I live in extreme close proximity..
