Chickens and Pheasants?

i keep them together because i had to free up space in a hurry but they get along so well i left them together but i keep a close i on them and a newby should never do this
and heaven forbid never keep any of the exspensive pheasants with chickens ever like boggy said they are more liky to kill over dead onya already with out any help

Toby was just askin a question i see no flamin and yes pheasants can catch any number of diseases from chickens
 
My Breeder Friend Keeps A Quintet Of Melanistics In With A Few Modern game Pullets In A Pen 3x9 metres With No Problems. I Think She Gives 'Em More Anti Biotics Than Usual, And That Helps, I Guess.
 
I have had ring necks and red golden pheasants, and raised them with chickens. They were free range and got along about the same as everything else I had here. Yes, they can catch some things that chickens carry, just like our pea fowl and turkeys can. You just gotta keep a closer eye on then as they are growing and medicate accordingly. Once grown, their immune system usually kicks in.
 
I have my red golden pheasants in with my chickens. They have a large outdoor pen and roost. They do not go inside with the chickens at night and everyone seems to be doing fine.
