I plan to grow potatoes in my container garden, Along with a few other things I haven’t made up my mind about. Any chance my two hens will leave them alone? I have two sweet hens in my backyard. Last year I covered the containers to keep the hens out, but this year I’ve added a few more containers. In your experience, are there any vegetables that chickens won’t mess with as much as others? Is it there any chicken-compatable or chicken-tolerant vegetable out there or is this just wishful thinking?

My chickens ignore potatoes. They've got more interesting things to attack. (Poor, poor tomatoes)

Mine don't scratch up the ground and roots. I am unsure if this is due to excessive space or just my individual flock's habits.

That would be great if they would leave the potatoes alone I may try to leave some uncovered and see.
