Chickens and Rabbits?

Anyone have any feelings on keeping chickens in the same area as rabbits? All the rabbits are in pens about 3 ft from the ground but I had to fence off the area to keep my doxies from getting to them so I thought I could put the chickens in the same area after I build them a coup.

So the rabbits will not be running around with the chickens? I would think that would be ok. I do know that both rabbts and chickens can get cocci though.

The chickens were in the same yard when I was a kid but that was about a 1/4 acre yard. This will be much smaller. What is cocci?
