Chickens and Turkeys cohabitating

Hello. I have approx. 15 layer chicks who are ready to go out to the coop. I also have 5 turkey chicks I am hoping to raise for dinner... My question is: can the cohabitate? I have read both YES and NO answers elsewhere... I am mostly worried about their food, and if the turkeys will be hurt by eating the chicken's medicated feed.
