Hi all this is not only my first post but my first attempt at raising anything farm like!

So I'm beyond nervous and spent countless hours researching

This is what I have ordered:

30 straight run Wyandotte chicks
5 straight run broad breasted turkeys

They get delivered in about a week

I have everything set up per everything I have learned (lights water feeders pine breeding etc)

All I keep hearing about is the horror stories about the turkey's dropping dead?!?

Please help me make sure I keep these little things alive and don't become a complete failure.

Thanks in advance.

Lots of chicks like that will keep you busy, but I'm glad you're diving in!
I also advise keeping turkeys apart, though I've never had them and don't have much advice for you about them...
But I think that turkeys may grow larger than the chicks, and may bully them. I would certianly keep them apart while they are young and vulnerable, but eventually introduce them togeather for a peaceful flock! If you have any more questions, you've got thousands of BYCers willing to help!
