Chickens and your garden

You will want to bury the fence in an L shape to keep both the chickens and rabbits out. If you have any deer in the area the fence should be 10 feet tall. On the up side, once the garden is over turn the chickens loose in it. They will eat all the bugs and most of the plants. Cuts down on your work. I use all the materials from the coop in the garden all winter, than come March it goes into the compost pile. Let the chickens at the pile and they will turn it for you. Save yur money on the composter and build one yourself. As the others have said chickens and garden DO NOT go together. If you plan on having strawberries and don't fence them in, you won't have any berries, those are on the top of the list for chicken treats. They will keep the bugs down for you on the up side.
