chickens are back

Something sad happened.
My chicken named bell(her picture is in the left.)
Died from an old age.
She's my favorite, she :was blind but I helped her,
and she loved me.

I don't know any other chicken could replace her.
Does anybody know how to make a good friend
with a chicken?

That is so sad!

If you want a friendly chicken, you should get the same breed (it looks like she was a silkie and they are supposed to be really friendly) and spend as much time with it as possible as a chick.

But my mom already got chicks.
And none of hem are silkes.
Are bufforfingtons the same?

I suppose it doesnt matter what breed, just as long as you spend as much time with it as you can. There is a thread on here that is about the most friendly chicken people have ever had. Maybe you could find it and get ideas.

Oh so sorry about your sweet little Silkie. I've had a Buff Orp that was very friendly and sweet.

Buffs are increadbly sweet, BR's are very... interesting : warning mine are three days old and can fly over about 1ft tall brooder wall, that reminds me, got to go clean up chick poop off the living room floor
