Hope my pictures load ok...we were lucky to have a bunch of redwood from my mom's disassembled deck when she moved. Had leftover siding from when we had to redo part of our house exterior.

We used some scrap 1/4" hardware cloth for ventilation and some light.

Really wanted a corrugated metal roof. My dad's wife works at a lumber supply so she let us use her discount for that.

At this point it's looking just like I wanted.

My innovative husband borrowed the wheels from my garden cart to get the whole thing moved out to the garden where I wanted it!

He made a nice little ramp and some sliding 'barn doors' from an old cabinet. Added some wood knobs to make it easier to slide.

Our ten babies love their new place! Husband also made a set of 3 nesting boxes. He used our old closet rods and cut them down for roosts. Staggered them to make them more user friendly!

Since these pictures, I've put on one coat of barn red paint leftover from when we painted the house. We'll caulk the seams between boards and put on another coat of paint. So far we've spent $15 for a sheet of plywood for the floor, $15 for a scrap of linoleum to put over that, and about $50 for the corrugated metal roofing. Not too bad!

Thanks Stumpy! Thanks Sahara! It's been a fun project for my husband and I. Got some more to do to it to up the 'cute' factor, but it's getting there! Thanks again for taking a look!
