chickens are not returning to there coop

My chickens use to be in the coop every night rate around dark but now no of them are going in????? last night they where sitting at my sliding glass door trying to come in. any advice/ideas??????

Can you close the curtain or turn the lights out by the sliding door before dusk? Chickens will almost always go to the last place they roosted (Mine did even when we moved the coop. They were sitting on the ground right where it used to be, after dark) But, if it is lighted by the sliding door, they may have stayed there too long, and it got too dark for them to be able to see their way back to the coop.
