I am bad my chickens know they don't have to fight over the food because I always go thru the line and give them each a piece

what's worse is that thru out the day they will come and peck at the door when they want a treat, and of course I give them one

I don't know how they keep from getting to fat

I'm worse. I fed the little ones some bread yesterday, but then held some back - hidden in a feed bucket - so I could give the meaties a bite each of the bread. Stood out in the coop for a good 30 minutes waiting for the layers to go on their way so I could be sure they wouldn't steal the meaties bread.
