Yep they show up when I'm trying to work on car. Today they hung out with me at well working on busted water lines....Sounds like they want to hang out with you. Stop being so interesting.
Sorry, I'm no help.
You are their people.Yep they show up when I'm trying to work on car. Today they hung out with me at well working on busted water lines....
Do you feed your chickens snacks, scratch, etc. where they know it is you feeding them?I have 13 free range hens on 5 acres... The coop is middle of property and barn is closer to road. It is a open barn where I work on cars. Now for some reason these chickens have decided to come in barn, knocking everything off shelves and getting into my car project and making a real mess. I have put chicken and horse fencing around the openings but now they decided to fly over that.
This is a really BIG problem; don't really want to get rid of them. Any suggestions...
We had underground electrical installed around the chicken run last year. You'd think the birds would be scared by a strange man using an electric hacksaw and other loud tools. Nope. They sat there, point blank, watching it all through the pen. Probably would have crawled in the trench with him if they could.Yep they show up when I'm trying to work on car. My younger barred rocks and leg horns would clear my 7' cedar privacy fence and terrorize the neighbor's gardens. I wound up having to clip their wings. By the time they got to be about 18 months they could be mostly contained with a 3' barrier and I had stopped clipping their wings at about a year.48-60 inches
Totally agree. Every time I have a backyard project I am slowly inundated with chickens who want to help or supervise! They are so sweet. Barred Plymouth Rock chickens are so sweet and social.Sounds like they want to hang out with you. Stop being so interesting.
