So basically my chickens got coryza and I caught it in an early stage so they weren't too bad. Theres no vet in my area that can provide with a cure so I took them to the chicken breeder that I bought them from as they said they have the treatment and can provide it to them for free. Long story short I brought them back home and they are so unresponsive. Two of them are just sitting inside the coop refusing to eat and drink and barely moving. The third is just sitting by the tree barely noticing me and is walking so slowly when she does. Im afraid if the injection was put in wrong or if the dose was too high or something. Im so scared cause I wanted them to get better but they look even worse now. Im afraid if they're dying or something. Please has anyone ever experienced this at all???

Coryza is a chronic respiratory disease. All chickens exposed will always be carriers, even if they recover. Yours may not be drinking or eating enough because of their sickness. You can try to give them fluids with SaveAChick electrolytes and vitamins, or use Poultry NutriDrench 1 ml for each 3 pounds of weight orally. Keep them warm since they are probably able to regulate their body temperatures. They also can get secondary infections such as air sacculitis. Do you know what treatment they were given? I would close my flock to any new birds until all of your present birds have died. That breeder should not sell birds since they are obviously carriers.

They were given an injection which I cant remember the name to but theyre meant to be right as rain within a week. They are the only birds I have so im not worried about segregating them. Do I keep them indoors for warmth or use a heat lamp? Im afraid a heat lamp might be too hot for them. They've started walking and drinking water which is good but still not eating as much food.

Keeping them warm around 75-80 degrees F is usually sufficient with a respiratory disease. Make sure they can get to a cooler area if they are too hot. Use a thermometer.
