I have two silkies,a barred rock,a leghorn,a black sexlink,and 4 ducks.all are spoiled rotten

I’m sure your intentions are great, but a chicken will be happiest outside where it can get bugs and bask in the sun... and even scratch in the rain! My chickens love that. Why don’t you just take the time each day to spend time with them outside? Do what I did... get yourself a chair and put it in the run so you can sit and love your chickens... I do it and it’s very calming and gives me lots of joy.
But for the love of god change your clothes and wash your hands when you come in!

it's okay,my mom thinks the same thing and it drives her crazy when I take the silkies out and sit on the steps,leaning against the door,with them,my little roo and hen.

Chickens have no muscle control down there... basically, they can't hold it in. Not possible. Whoever says otherwise is in denial and living in a play pretend world where chickens talk and use the litter box.

Well I understand her point of view as a mom, but yours as well as a chicken lover! I think your mom will be happy if you reassure her that you are washing up afterwards. It’s great to love your chickens... just do it outside!
Good luck to you and I hope you get a’s and b’s in school regardless. Maybe someday you can open up your own chicken training school!!!

Its pretty cool you enjoy chickens. With all the weird crap kids get in these days I'm happy to see one tending to chickens!
