Hi, folks.

We've personally had a couple of hens a couple times in our backyard near downtown Dallas.
Now we run an "outreach center" and new Presbyterian Church development in Mansfield, TX, on the border of Grand Prairie, TX.

It has an organic community garden, food pantry, back-to-work clothes closet, free library and more run out of a modest farmhouse on the edge of a booming suburb. We respect ALL and welcome ALL people. We believe in peacemaking with people and planet.

This summer we've added five chickens in what we trust is a coyote and raccoon-proof run with a little coop and nesting boxes.

Still have much to learn. My wife, Pat, knows a lot more than me and two kids too. We love teaching kids at the outreach center and church about respecting nature.

I found y'all by random search. Love it and know I can't start reading more now, because of work needs. I know it is an incredibly friendly, helpful and addictive environment!

Peace,
Shane (and Pat)
