Chickens ate mice!

I lifted up a sheet of plywood in my barn and there was a nest of 2 dozen baby mice just starting to crawl. The chickens took one look and it was like a shark feeding frenzy.
I assume the eggs will still be good to eat the next few days, right? lol

That is why I always laugh when an egg company advertises that their chickens are fed a vegetarian diet! Chickens are NOT vegetarians by nature, they need a LOT of protein to lay eggs and if they are free ranging for any portion of the day they are most certainly not vegetarian.
