We are having issues with our hens. They are a year old and we got them on the same day. We haven't had problems until the other day. We have one that I thought had gone broody. She has stayed in the nesting box for about two weeks. There are no roosters so her efforts are in vein. The other day I picked her up from the box and put her back in the run. She bowed down her head and next thing I knew the others were attacking her. She ran back into the coop and into the nesting box. Later on I had walked out and was checking on her. One of the others stuck her head in the box and stated pecking on her. she pecked back a second and got past the other on but ran into another nesting box. My husband said when he is checking on her somethimes the others will come and peck on her. I don't know what to do. I don't want to see her hurt. Space is not the issue, There is plenty and this has just started until the other day I never had a problem with them fighting or picking on each other.
