Chickens comb is blue

Well, I live in a desert and I've never had to deal with this problem. :P But I think i might know what to do! :D First of all, where do u keep your chickens during the day and night?

Do you let them wander around outside? If you do u should only do that while the sun is out and it is the warmest time of day. You should also try buying a heater and maybe putting it in the coop. If the chicken does really have frostbite then maybe you might have to warm it up in there

Also depending on what type of chickens you have some of them may not be for that type of climate

You can use bagbalm on the comb to not only protect it from getting more frostbite but the balm will help heal and moisturize the comb too. You would need to apply it daily until all winter or most of your really cold days are gone. I like to put it on at roosting time as this is when frostbite is the worst, in the night. I have had good luck with bagbalm and frostbite.
