Chickens combs not red

Hello my chickens combs are not red. I've read if they are pale that they are sick. My chickens are 13 weeks old. Just wondering what you think about how they look. Thank you for the wisdom.

They'll get red when they get closer to laying. Your chickens look quite healthy to me. I bet that one in the foreground of your first pic will be your first layer.

Yep...they're healthy girls. At this age, if their combs were red, well, you'd most likely have boys (cockerals) on your hands.

Agreed. They still pale because they're not ready to start laying yet, they're to young still. They should start getting red in another month or so.

My current pullets are nineteen weeks old, and a few are getting red combs. Nobody has produced an egg yet either! Some breeds, and some individuals, will start earlier than others.

Their combs start redding, and you think oh! They start squatting and you are thinking maybe today?.... and then later, much later when you have just about given up hope...there is the first egg. So fun.
