We got four chickens in early march, two austrolorps and two Easter eggers. They have been growing healthy and all have recently started laying eggs. Link to my fiancé's posts about them

Micro seems to be constantly panting, she has been doing this for a month or so. She has no other obvious symptoms and is eating and acting like nothing is wrong (she is lowest on the pecking order but is still the most adventurous) It just seemed to be a weird thing she did. Recently the other easter egger has been panting as well Anyone know if it is a symptom of anything? As I said they both seem very healthy and have no other issues.

My Easter Eggers also pant more than normal and it’s more noticeable with their big ole cheek muffs :)

Where are you and what's the temperature? Chickens pant much like dogs when it's hot. Some have thicker feather cover than others too. Just make sure they have plenty of water. Some people even put ice in the water to help them cool down.
