Hi I was just wondering if anyone would have any idea of the cause of this is? A friend of mine gave me some tylan soluble to treat them in their water as he believed it is a respiratory diesease they may have contracted but it has not stopped the coughing I hear from the when I’m out in the coop. Also it is only about 5 of them out of 50 but I’m still hearing it regularly. If any one had any ideas /cures it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Tylan is for treating mycoplasma, so if it's not working, they might not be getting enough medication or could have something else. Can you post some pictures of the sick ones?

There is some picture I just took there, there behaviour doesnt seem affected but the noise they make concerns me.

Do you see any bubbles/foam or gunk in the eye? Any swwlling of the eyelid? Any nasal drainage drying on nostrils? They may have a respiratory disease. The symptoms above may be associated with MG or a bacterial respiratory disease. Sneezing and coughing also could be from a virus. How much Tylosin are you putting in the water and how long have you treated them?

Yeah there does be nasal dicscharge from the nose on some of them, well the bottle I have says 100grams does 666 litres, so I was working that out accordingly but after it had no effect I upped to dosage and it’s been about 10 days of treating them, I had it in the water for the whole flock.

Also, is this something that chickens can get over on their own? and how come all 50 are not coughing or can some of them become immune to the disease?
