Chickens didn’t die

Morning!! My name is Tiffany and I’m new to owning chickens. I’m quickly becoming crazy about my girls, and want to provide my dumb sweet chicks the best home.
I purchased a small coop, rated for 6 chickens, with a run and ordered 8 babies (thinking some would die, IT IS ALL I KEPT READING.) I got a bonus chicken, lucky me, when I placed my ordered and managed to keep all 9 fat and happy. Now they are quickly running out of space and they need a new home. (Or crazy chicken brain tells me they NEED one)
I’m now turning my shed into a new coop, because it’s cheaper than buying a bigger coop. Plus, the shed is totally asking to be a coop.

Any tips for run ideas or extra ideas for my shed/coop?? I now have 12 nesting boxes (16x16x16) a perching section.

Hello and welcome to BYC!
Each chicken needs a minimum of 4sq ft of coop space, 10sq ft of run space, 1 ft of linear roost, and 1sq ft of ventilation. Also 1 nesting box per 3-4 hens, or pullets in your case.

I Tiffany, welcome to BYC. What @Tookie says, and that square foot of ventilation per chicken is extremely important.
As far as the run, I would make it as large as possible, covered, and use 19ga 1/2 hardware cloth. Chicken wire is cheap but it not predator proof. Hardware cloth is worth the additional cost.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. This is a great place to explore and hang out.
Take roost out use the table in the shed maybe two tables use a drill bit good diameter cut holes for ventilation. No holes where birds roost okay.
