Chickens disappearing

I have had two chickens thats have been gone now for a few days now. They are free range, I think they are laying on eggs somewhere but i haven't seen them. I know nothing got them so i hope there just laying on eggs. How often do chickens come out to eat if they are nesting?

How often they come off the nest depends on the individual. Sometimes it's only one time per day for about 15 minutes. I hope you are right that a predator didn't get them.
