Chickens don’t understand coop!

She laid one and still is in there away from the egg. She's just kinda. Hanging out in there.

Yes...They do that ...Crazy Birds...collect you egg...Crappy days some of mine like to huddle in the nest boxes too..

My older chicks will enter the coop on their own if a light is on at dusk. Due to getting chicks, I have had to rearrange the coop and run. My older chick does not like change!

They can't really see anything inside from ground level. That makes it so much more challenging for them. You have to remember that you're talking about an animal with a brain the size of a pea. Mine have had the same gate their entire lives and still struggle to navigate around it if they have to step away from their destination to get there.
