you're doing the right thing by slow intros but it may just be the peeking order. those 4 original birds know they're the kings of the hill. didn't catch what breed they were but there are more aggressive breeds and then there are more mellow breeds too. I've also seen plenty of times that if you have just one stinker, that the other flock members will join in just to maintain the pecking order (i.e., so the aggressor doesn't turn on THEM!). so, i'm thinking you're probably stuck with this arrangement.
