Hi. Over the past 6 months, I have had 5 chickens die. They have not died at the same time. Everyone looks good, plenty of food, water, clean coop. Then one will be lethargic, a little stumbly the comb looks discolored, and then after a couple days, it dies. When one was sick, I tried to soak it in warm water, thinking maybe egg bound. Well... just checked on them and another chicken is acting strange. There is no discharge from their nose or mouth. Some of their bottoms are a little poopy. The one chicken is having trouble jumping up into the coop from the run. I dusted the coop and run with diatomaceous earth, added a probiotic to water, had poop checked by vet and no issues. I can not see any lice. Any ideas?

I'm sorry that you're having troubles.

How old are they?
If you lose another, it would be a good idea to send the body to your state lab so you can get a better understanding of what is happening.

Hard to know what's going on, the symptoms are quite vague. Look everyone over for lice/mites, see that crops are emptying overnight.
Check feed to make sure it's not moldy.

Sometimes chickens can die for various reasons and the deaths are not even related.

You can look up your lab here:
