Yes, it is definitely predator, we have finally deduced that. She is looking for holes right now.

If she's using chicken wire, predators can reach through the wire and grab a bird. Also make sure she checks seams and tie down points. Sometimes they mange to create a loose area where they can squeeze in and out but the wire doesn't look obvious.
