If people are having poultry dying, please post here. If members with more experience can weigh in on whether more birds are dying then normal, that would be helpful. COVID-19 is a coronavirus, which can infect birds, and that would be important information to know. Don't want to alarm anyone, but worried about why my seemingly healthy pet chicken died yesterday.

In your other thread we suggested getting a necropsy done by your state vet, which you said that you didn’t think was necessary. Your hen looked to have been pecked about the comb by the other chickens. In my experience, I have had several birds with reproductive or crop disorders who were dying. When they were pecked or picked on, I knew it was then time to put them down. The only way to know what was wrong was to get a necropsy. There has not been any connection to chickens or other pets with Covid19 virus.

Thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it! The stress of all the COVID19 stuff plus losing our pet made me a little irrational!
