Chickens eating catfood

Put the cat food up on a stack of hay. Most chickens can't fly over 4 feet. Also feed the cat at night after the chickens have gone to bed. Barn cats just need a handful or two of food at a time. Otherwise they don't have much need to hunt.

That's what I've been doing. After I lock my birds in the coop for the night, I feed my cats.
