So I will be planting clover where my chickens will be free ranging, I know most seed comes coated to make it grow better I assume chickens can't eat this? How do I go about planting it? I was thinking of confining the and letting them turn the ground then plant it and let them out? But how would you do that?

Don't let them eat it- I have planted clover but waited until sprouts well up.
