Hi All,
frow.gif

I have 13 BO hens and 1 Bo Rooster. They are about 6 months old.

I made a dust bath and put it in the chicken pen for the ladies to dust bathe in.
Well instead of bathing in it they are eating it.

I have play sand and DE in the bath, no chemicals or anything.

Is it okay for them to eat the dust bath?
Will they figure it out that it is for bathing and not a treat??

Thanks.

So they thought you gave them a treat? Thats funny

It wont hurt them. But how cute is that?

Maybe they feel they need more grit?

Good Luck

I thought it was funny too.

They have plenty of grit in their pen.
Will they get it and start using it for the purpose for which it was intended?

Just wondering. Thanks.

Do I check their crops by feeling them? What am I feeling for?

They have the developer size girt. Do I need to get a bigger or smaller size?

Thanks Again.
