ChickenS Eating Feathers

I've noticed that my 3 month old hens eat each others feathers when they have fallen off. Is it normal?

Especially if they find they laying around....eating a feather here or there is no problem. Chickens are foragers and opportunistic eaters. Feathers contain quite a lot of useful protein and some calcium too, I believe.
