I have miniature horses and they eat Triple Crown Growth which is a very high quality feed and seems to have higher percentages of vitamins, etc. over MannaPro Egg Maker. My questions is about my Seramas always managing to get into the horse feed while they eat. Does anyone see a problem with them eating this?

My chickens were eating a lot of my duck's mazuri waterfowl feed so I separated them because I learned that the duck feed , although the best in quality, was more like an expensive scratch for the chickens. I figured they were filling up on it and not getting proper nutrition because they werent eating their chicken food. But I dont know about the horse feed, you'd have to analyze the ingredients

If they just steal a little I think it’s fine. It most likely doesn’t have anything bad in it. The key from what I heard, is see how much of their daily calorie intake they get from their main feed source. And let them have 10% of it from other things they find around.
