Chickens eating paint!

We have a large storage shed in our yard and when I let my chickens out to range in the yard, they start pecking the paint off. They have eaten a considerable amount of paint over the past year. I don't think it's showing up in the eggs but how do I keep them from doing it?

I dont figure its good for the hens or the eggs. The only way I could guess to make them stop is to fence the shed in so they cant get to it to pick the paint off.

We have the same issue but the girls peck at the house. I don't know if they are actually eating the paint or scraping it off to peck at the wood of the house. So far no problems with the girls, eggs or us. I more worry about the house these days.
