chickens eating the eggs before I can get to them!!!!

can anyone give me recommendations on stopping the chickens from eating the eggs before I can get to them. We are checking the coop twice a day but are still losing at least one egg a day to the girls. Any ideas would be great.

You can put golf balls or fake eggs in the nest so that it hurts a bit when they peck them and make sure you clean any broken egg out of the nest

Years ago we had probelms with my parents flock with that. A few broke in the nest and they ate it and decided to continue to eat almost every egg they laid after that. We tried many things but ended up having to build a new nesting box design that allowed the hen to sit on it and had a small hole in the middle with a empty inner that we lined with hay so the egg would fall through after laying. It fixed it. Sorry to hear your having so much trouble and good luck.
