Their feed has 16 percent protein. I thought about switching them to 22 percent flock raiser for awhile. What do you feed them? They might not be getting enough protein. Also, you can blow out and fillings with yellow dishs soap break them of the habit.
I'm not for sure. I haven't been able to catch what's going on. By the time I do "catch" them, They are all running around chasing each other over the eggs. Haven't seen them in the action of it yet, but I know that's what it is because I've found crushed open eggs in there. And I went from 12 eggs a day to 1-3..Is it one of them or all of them?
That's very frustrating. I have one hen who will eat any eggs that land on the poop board. I think it got started because my guineas laid a few soft shelled eggs that broke on impact and she learned they were tasty. But I caught her in the act of pecking a hard shelled one that was laid on there so now it's a habit. So far she's left all the other ones laid in the nest box alone, but still, horribly frustrating.I'm not for sure. I haven't been able to catch what's going on. Yes it is. For awhile I was getting no eggs, but since it was time for molting i thought it was normal. But they are obviously just eating them now. I really suspect more then one. That's very frustrating. I have one hen who will eat any eggs that land on the poop board.
